What it is
Blizzard's 16th annual student art contest: make an original piece that would fit in World of Warcraft, in one of four categories (animation, character art, environment art or FX), and submit it online. It's free to enter. Blizzard's World of Warcraft art team judges entries on originality, authenticity, artistic expression and fit with the game's style, and picks one winner per category. Each winner gets a Wacom Cintiq 24 drawing display, a 1-hour virtual mentorship session with a Blizzard artist, a sketchbook, a 1-year World of Warcraft subscription and a T-shirt (about $1,676 in total, per the character-art rules). Read the rules first: your entry becomes Blizzard's property, AI-generated assets aren't allowed, and each category has its own format requirements.
