What it is
A State Department scholarship of up to $5,000 for Pell Grant undergrads to study or intern abroad on a credit-bearing program, with supplemental awards for critical-need language study and STEM coursework or internships. It can cover program tuition, room and board, books, local transportation, insurance, international airfare and passport and visa fees. The Spring 2027 cycle covers programs starting May 1, 2027 to April 30, 2028; the application opens in mid-January 2027.
